The worst parts of this app are the 15 sec unskippable ads in the middle of videos. I understand sponsored posts in my feed... but after watching a three minute video and getting interrupted BY THE SAME AD TWICE in the middle of it, I question why Facebook sacrificed user enjoyability to pad their pockets. Even a short advertisement before the video is better than in the middle. Its so distracting and interrupts the concentration/enjoyment of the viewer. 1/10

Everytime there is an update its junk. I dislike that there is no "chat" bar anymore and the story thing is stupid. Add the chat bar back please ?

Why is there Ads on Videos?! Makes it worse when the Ads make the videos stop and then replay from the beginning multiple times!

I hate the comments looking like text bubbles! Its hard to follow whats an actual comment and whats a reply to a comment. Change it back, it was just fine the way it was!

Not a fan of the new update . Lost the option to see who is online ?. And if I wanted snap chat features I would use snap chat .

This version is terrible all different no bueno ??

Ive been tolerating Facebook messengers copying of Snapchat for a long time now, but now that its in the actual Facebook app, Im voicing my opinion. It needs to stop. Facebook is Facebook and Snapchat is Snapchat. The one does not need to copy or be the other. I do not want to see "stories" from other people. I can do that on Snapchat if I so desire, which I usually dont. Its trivial. If someone wants to share a picture they will post it. If they want it to disappear, then they shouldnt post it in the first place.

All of these changes with the camera and trying to be like Snapchat are horrible! I miss when Facebook was simply Facebook. It was irritating enough when we had to download a separate app for Messaging, but now theres the stories you can share that if people wanted to do they would use Snapchat, and the video play button at the bottom of the screen. Everything just keeps changing and I wish Facebook could just go back to being simple.

Why the hell did you all take away the chat bar where you see your favorites and whos online like seriously idc about that stupid camera stuff I want my messenger bar been like that for years.

The Facebook story thing is honestly stupid. All its doing is taking up more space. If we dont want it we should have the option to turn it off and not use it.

I am so tired of getting multiple Facebook live notifications, make one place to turn all live notifications off. Not everyone wants to know what their facebook friends are up to 24/7 when theyre not even in the app. Would have given 4-5 stars if I could turn off live notifications!!!!!!

Its too much like Instagram. Bring back the Messenger thing on the side to show who is active.

I like the new update all besides that I now cant see with of my friends are online. I think that was dumb to take that away.

I hate the new update. I liked being able to see my chat list on the right when I swiped the screen. I want that back and I could do without the Snapchat and instagram copy. Come on Facebook.

(Edit) oh hellllllll no what is up with that stupid stupid stupid your story crap at the top of my page now!!! I know you better find a way of letting us disable that! I thought the feature was stupid when you added it to messenger! You idiots are just going to far with the stupid addons with no way to disable them. With every update you do and every stupid thing you add it just causes more and more battery drain! And I dont like what has been done with the notifications at all, now its a longer process to look through them all ughhhh. I have to keep clicking to "show more".

Before the update, you were able to see who was online from the Facebook app if you swiped left and you could see it on the right. Now that feature is gone and unable to locate favs within the app. Hope that feature is returned in the next update.

This last update to Version 85.0 introduces a privacy violation. As I understand, allowing the App access to my photos means I get to choose what photos get uploaded or saved from within the app. Photos I took on Sunday were assembled into a photo montage that the app asked me if I wanted to share a day later. I never did anything to put those photos in any FB photo album. Why didnt the app ask me if I was okay with it scanning my recent photos and preparing a montage? I am not even sure if those photos werent also passed to FBs servers for processing. I know they didnt share them automatically, but doing things with my photos without asking me is not okay. I guess when I installed this app 20 or more versions ago, access to my photos meant something very different than it does now. Be aware of this!
