You cannot delete the cache of the app

It starts as 170MB and keeps on stashing cashed data indefinitely. It reached 550MB on my phone. You cannot delete the cache in anybother way but deleting and reinstalling the app.
Extremely poor work of the developers. I resorted to access FB over Safari.
