Deleting this App Battery Drained

My battery is constantly drained by Facebook running in the background and it’s not sitting my background waiting to be closed either. I noticed that whenever I look into the Facebook settings on my iPhone, app refresh is switched on. I can’t turn it off. I’m deleting it from my phone and will be logging into Facebook via safari.
